I do not know of the book, i must admit i haven't heard good things about it. But I know it is supposed to be a passion/love novel of some kind

It is (so far, I'm about 1/3 through the first book of the trilogy) about "unusual" sexual relationships, like SM/BDSM etc.. I've heard people say it's not a good book, but only because they have been told so... So far, I find it pretty well written and also interesting o: Feel free to read it/them and make an opinion for yourself
